Shades Cliff Pool is a private family swim club located in the heart of Hoover, Alabama.  The club was the brainchild of several forward thinking community members who knew this location would be perfect for a community pool.

The facility was built during the winter of 1963-1964 and first opened to its members in the summer of 1964.  The facility consists of a bathhouse with dressing rooms, an L-shaped pool with a 25-meter, 6 lane lap area and a 12′ diving well with 2 3-meter springboard diving boards, and a small separate wading pool for our smallest members.

Since its inception, the pool has offered competitive swim and dive teams as well as free swim lessons for its members.
